Faith & Finance: Are They Compatible?
Brother Louis DeThomasis currently serves as Chancellor of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, having served a distinguished tenure as President of the university from 1984 to 2005. Brother Louis also founded Christian Brothers Investment Services, Inc., an investment advisory firm that today manages assets valued at more than three billion dollars. He maintains his ties to the investment advisory world as a director of the Galaxy Funds, which manages mutual funds with collective assets of approximately 20 billion dollars.

An accomplished educator, scholar, author, lecturer and executive, Brother Louis' diversified interests, talents and experiences from the worlds of business, religious life and education have made him a uniquely qualified authority on the integration of the complex and seemingly disparate worlds of faith and finance. Bridging the gap between the so-called spiritual and secular worlds, he realistically and cogently argues in his books and articles that the past separations of Church from state, religion from politics and business from spirituality are obsolete. He is convinced that the power of the financial world can be a dynamic tool for creating humanity's future.
